Dalian Customs conducts centralized operations against "foreign garbage" smuggling

According to the release of Dalian Customs, the General Administration of Customs recently launched the fourth round of centralized network collection operations in Dalian, Tianjin, Nanjing and Shenzhen to crack down on the smuggling of "blue sky 2018". In the operation of the Dalian area, a total of more than 50 police officers were dispatched and divided into 15 action teams to carry out operations in Dalian and Yingkou. At present, a total of 2 criminal suspects have been arrested and 5 have been examined. The main suspects have all been arrested. A total of more than 900 tons of aluminum ash suspected of smuggling solid waste have been seized, more than 1,000 tons of waste plastic have been verified, and a large number of evidence of involvement in the case has been seized.

Since the beginning of this year, the National customs have carried out four rounds of high-density, cluster-style and full-chain focused attacks on the smuggling of "foreign garbage", and made every effort to block and intercept the smuggling of "foreign garbage" into China. The Customs also actively coordinates the relevant departments to do a good job in the repatriation and harmless treatment of solid waste. The Dalian Customs has already repatriated 6,602 used liquid crystal displays that were previously seized.

Dalian Customs will carry out continuous high pressure and severe punishment. At the same time, it will strengthen liaison with relevant law enforcement agencies such as public security, ecological environment, and market supervision, and severely crack down on illegal and criminal acts such as smuggling "foreign garbage" that endanger the country's ecological security.
